Negatives in Gevaert Chromosa box
This archive came from Birdwood, a beatiful small town in the Adelaide Hills region of South Australia. The box from Gevaert Chromosa glass plates contained seven 6 x 9 cm film negatives and eight 6.5 x 9 cm glass plates.
The first image was taken in Zwolle, the Netherlands. The prominent building in the background is the Sassenpoort (the gate house). The rest of the images appear to be taken in the Netherlands as well sometime around the 1940s.
The man in this photograph wears the same uniform as the Dutch soldier photographed in Hertogenbosch in 1939.
